A. Chicken Liver Brulée N G†
with our apple chutney and homemade wholemeal walnut bread

B. Twice-baked Winchester Cheese Soufflé V
with a light salad of pear, grapes, watercress and dried cranberries tossed through a tawny port dressing

C. Classic Prawn Cocktail G†
on a bed of leaves and chopped cucumber with our own Marie Rose sauce, lemon wedge and our homemade wholemeal bread

D. Cream of Jerusalem Artickoke Soup V G†
with our wholemeal bread

Main Courses

1. Traditional Roast free range Turkey with Chestnut & Herb Stuffing
served with pigs in blankets, bread sauce, fresh cranberry and elderflower sauce, gravy and roast potatoes G†† N

2. Steamed Steak & Kidney Pudding
encased in thyme suet pastry with gravy and buttered new potatoes

3. Game Pie with Creamy Savoy Cabbage and Smoked Bacon
with sautéed potatoes. Includes venison, pheasant, rabbit, mallard and pigeon in it’s own rich gravy

4. Pork Chop on Buttery Mash G
with a Mr Whitehead’s cider cream sauce

5. Pan-roasted Salmon and Puy Lentils G
fillet of salmon presented on a casserole of Puy lentils and root vegetables

6. Vegetable and Bean Stew V D N G†
Winter root vegetables and beans in a tomato sauce finished with our own hazelnut and rocket pesto and served with a taster of our homemade sun dried tomato and garlic Ciabatta

7. Warm Vegetarian Goats Cheese, Sweet Onion and Wild Rocket Cheesecake V
accompanied by shaven kohlrabi, pine nut and cranberry herb salad

All main courses are served with fresh vegetables

Served 7pm to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 7pm to 8.30pm Sunday


Nick and Hayley Carter and all the staff welcome you to The Selborne Arms, located in the beautiful village of Selborne in the South Downs National Park.

The majority of the produce on our menus is from as close to our doorstep as possible. We have been keen supporters of the quality and welfare of our local produce since our arrival here in January 2001 and believe this can only add to your experience here with us.

All our food is prepared fresh to order so may take a little longer than usual during busy periods.

If you suffer from any allergies please do let us know and we will try to help in any way we can. We do not use any GM products.
